The thunder rumbled loud and without purpose over the grey green hills.Its constant movement likening itself to a slow military march which temporarily changed both pace and colour  between flashes  of white.The first was grey,ever swirling and thickening.The next was a deep and solom blue,the saddest blue that one could dream.Slowly this changed to deep purple,unusual yet majestic as the storm rolled ever closer.Last was the green,a sickening green, herald to fiercest of storms in its thick foreboding manor and crests of pure white.

Flight of fancyIt was cold,This much is understandable considering it was mid winter.I trudged through the thick blanket of blinding snow as the iced winds bit at my red cheeks.Listening to the crunch of fresh snow beneath my bear hide boots, i tugged my white fur lined hood up over my head to stave off the full force of the cold.  The winged beasts known as Mortiferat were tethered to a stand one hundred yards from the forest edge.The three of them a cold metallic grey against the white wooded trees.  
Their heads were that of snake scaled horses framed in a mane of grey fur which encircled the base of the neck.Their feet were that of a hawks wit Flight of fancy
